Learnings from Mautic World Conference 2025

Mautic World Conference 2025 brought the global Mautic community together across both in person and virtual formats, reflecting the truly international nature of the project. Hosted in London at the iconic Sea Containers and followed by two days of online sessions, the conference created space for knowledge sharing, collaboration, and community connection around open source marketing automation.

Across all parts of the event, one theme remained consistent: Mautic continues to grow through the shared efforts of its global community.

Day one: Knowledge sharing and connection

The first day of the conference was filled with insightful sessions and meaningful discussion. The event opened with a keynote that set the tone for the days ahead, exploring shared challenges and opportunities across marketing, marketing automation, and open source innovation.

Following the keynote, attendees came together for breakfast, creating space for conversation and connection before the sessions began. Throughout the day, talks covered a wide range of topics, from marketing strategy to practical guidance on using Mautic, alongside broader discussions on the role of open source in today’s marketing landscape.

Lunch offered a welcome pause in the programme, allowing conversations to continue informally, before the afternoon sessions resumed. One of the highlights of the day was the Mautic Awards, which recognised the individuals and organisations whose contributions continue to shape and strengthen the project.

A special moment during the awards evening was the release of the Mautic Anthem, We are the Mautic Community, composed by Lucas Sigel. Introduced during the ceremony, the anthem reflected the values of collaboration, openness, and shared purpose that define the Mautic project.

This year’s award recipients and highly recommended nominees demonstrated the many ways individuals and organisations support the project:

The day concluded with an evening social, providing a relaxed environment for attendees to connect, reflect on the sessions, and build relationships across the community.

Contributing together: The Mautic community sprint

The Mautic Community Sprint brought contributors together for a focused day of collaboration. Around 25 community members worked across teams on practical initiatives that support the ongoing development and sustainability of the project.

The community team laid the groundwork for the Ambassador Blueprint and planned future community meetups.

The education team welcomed new contributors while strengthening documentation and translations.

The marketing team worked on defining the Mautic 7 launch, refining product messaging, and supporting conference communications.

The product team made significant progress, merging 12 pull requests and reducing the backlog to under 200.

The sprint demonstrated the value of shared effort and the impact of community driven development.

Closing the day together: The London meetup

The day concluded with the emailexpert London Meetup, held in the evening at the Founder’s Arms along the River Thames. After a full day of collaboration, the meetup offered a relaxed space for attendees to unwind and continue conversations in a more informal setting.

With classic British pub food, drinks, and the river as a backdrop, discussions flowed naturally between topics such as marketing, open source, regional experiences, and personal journeys. The welcoming atmosphere made it easy to strengthen connections formed earlier in the day and reflect on the shared work completed during the sprint. A sincere thank you goes to emailexpert for organising the meetup and for being a valued ecosystem partner during Mautic World Conference 2025.

Extending the conference online: The virtual programme

Following the in person events in London, Mautic World Conference 2025 continued online with two days of virtual sessions, allowing community members from around the world to take part.

The virtual programme featured keynote sessions from Jeffrey McGuire, who explored themes of power, data protection, pragmatism, and digital sovereignty, and Laura Atkins, who shared insights on the future of deliverability. Alongside the keynotes, a full schedule of sessions, panels, and community discussions covered practical, strategic, and technical topics relevant to the Mautic ecosystem. The online format made it possible for a broader global audience to engage with the conference content, extending the reach and impact of the event beyond those able to attend in person.

Reflecting on Mautic World Conference 2025

Mautic World Conference 2025 demonstrated the strength and vibrancy of the open source community behind the project. Through knowledge sharing, hands-on contribution, and time spent building relationships both in person and online, the conference reinforced the foundations for Mautic’s continued development.

As the community reflects on the experience, the shared commitment to collaboration, openness, and collective progress remains at the heart of everything that Mautic represents.
