Join Mautic at FOSDEM Online this weekend!

A year ago Mautic was making its first appearance at the legendary Open Source event that is FOSDEM in Belgium, and this year we are excited to be joining the virtual event as a stand holder.

For those of you who may not have heard about FOSDEM before, is a two-day event organised by volunteers to promote the widespread use of free and Open Source software. Usually taking place in the beautiful city of Brussels (Belgium), FOSDEM is widely recognised as the best such conference in Europe.

The goal is to provide free and open source software developers and communities a place to meet to:

  • get in touch with other developers and projects;
  • be informed about the latest developments in the free software world;
  • be informed about the latest developments in the Open Source world;
  • attend interesting talks and presentations on various topics by project leaders and committers;
  • to promote the development and benefits of free software and Open Source solutions.

It is a great opportunity to showcase Mautic and widen the awareness of our product and community amongst fans of Open Source, and also a great way of welcoming potential contributors to the project.

The event has been ported to the virtual environment using entirely Open Source tools, and as always is completely free to attend. You do not need an account to visit the conference, watch talks or visit stands. You will need a Matrix account from chat.fosdem.org (or elsewhere – if you already have a Matrix account you can find all the rooms using the fosdem.org server) to participate in the discussion or upvote questions. There are more details in the ‘practical information’ resource linked below.

Throughout the weekend we will be available in the chat room and will be screening some of the most popular videos from the MautiCon 2020 event at various times throughout the day. If you would like to help please do join the channels on Slack #wg-fosdem and the chat room for the event, which has been bridged into #fosdem-event-chat. Get an invite at mautic.org/slack if you are not already in our Slack instance.

Although we cannot share the traditional sticker swag in person, we will be posting them out to folk who pass through the stand and provide a delivery address – so don’t miss out on getting your Mautic stickers!

We hope to see many of you over the course of the weekend – do drop in and say hello!
