Mautic Ambassadors: Global voices, local impact

Our multi-tiered ambassador network operates at country, regional, and university levels to bring Mautic's marketing automation capabilities to diverse communities across the globe.

Championing Mautic across the globe

The Mautic Ambassador Program recognizes and empowers dedicated community members who promote Mautic in their countries, regions, and universities.

Our ambassadors serve as official representatives, advocating for open source marketing automation while building vibrant local communities.

As the face of Mautic in their areas, ambassadors organize events, create content, provide support, and connect users with resources.

They play a vital role in expanding our global reach and ensuring Mautic’s continued growth as the most privacy-focused, accessible, and extendable marketing automation platform available.

Why become a Mautic Ambassador?

Joining the Mautic Ambassador Program opens doors to exclusive resources, networking opportunities, and professional growth. You’ll receive special recognition in our community forums, access to training materials, presentation templates, and exclusive ambassador swag that highlights your leadership role.

Ambassadors gain ‘behind the scenes’ insights through regular calls with Mautic’s Project Lead and team, priority access to new features, and funding opportunities for events.

Your contributions help shape Mautic’s future while you build valuable leadership experience and expand your professional network across the global open source community.

What activities will you lead?

Mautic Ambassadors commit to organizing at least two community-focused activities each quarter.

These might include hosting meetups, creating content, contributing to documentation by organising contribution events, giving talks, or running webinars or podcasts, for example.

We value quality engagement over quantity – one impactful event can be more valuable than several with minimal participation.

Ambassadors report quarterly on their activities, sharing goals, attendance metrics, and outcomes. This helps us understand your impact and provide better support.

Above all, ambassadors uphold Mautic’s values and create welcoming environments for all community members.

Country Ambassadors

A Country Ambassador operates at the national level, setting the vision and strategy across a country.

Unlike Regional Ambassadors who execute locally and University Ambassadors who focus on a single institution, the Country Ambassador aligns efforts nationwide. They support regional and university ambassadors and meetup group organisers, and organize the country’s annual MautiCamp.

They are the national point of contact for press, partners, and conferences and the first point of call for local training enquiries. Critically, they surface country-specific needs (language, culture etc) to the Mautic leadership team and adapt campaigns so that national context is reflected in community and growth plans.

Regional Ambassadors

A Regional Ambassador leads Mautic activity within a defined sub-national area – such as a state, county, large region (e.g. England), or a major city – owning on-the-ground execution.

Unlike Country Ambassadors who set national strategy, and University Ambassadors who are campus-focused, Regional Ambassadors turn strategy into local action: running meetups, workshops, and campaigns tailored to local audiences, languages, and industry clusters.

They build and nurture local organizer networks, maintain partnerships with region-based agencies, conferences, and user groups, and ensure consistent activity across cities or neighbourhoods in their remit. Regional Ambassadors also feed local insights (venue options, seasonal timing, popular channels, language needs) to the Country Ambassador, coordinate with nearby regions to avoid clashes, and collaborate with university leads to bridge campus and practitioner communities.

University Ambassadors

A University Ambassador champions Mautic within a single academic institution – focusing on students, faculty, research groups, and campus organisations.

Unlike Country Ambassadors (national) and Regional Ambassadors (state/city), their scope is campus-centric: running workshops, guest lectures and hackathons that align with curricula, clubs, and university calendars.

They build bridges between academia and practice by creating starter projects, facilitating internships or capstone collaborations with agencies, and guiding contributors.

University Ambassadors coordinate with the Regional Ambassador for off-campus events, share campus-specific insights (term dates, approval processes, venue rules), and help convert graduating students into active members of the wider regional and national Mautic community.

We're currently in the process of launching our Ambassador Program. If you'd like to be a Mautic Ambassador for your country, region or university, please complete the form below.

Expectations and the application process

Being a Mautic Ambassador is a significant role, and it comes with certain expectations:

  • Organize at least two community activities quarterly (meetups, content creation, documentation, etc.)
  • Represent Mautic’s values and create an inclusive environment in your region
  • Provide regular updates on your ambassador activities via quarterly reports
  • Participate in monthly ambassador calls to share experiences and best practices
  • Maintain an active presence in Mautic community forums and relevant local groups
  • Collaborate with other ambassadors to amplify Mautic’s global presence

  • Serve as the local point of contact for Mautic inquiries in your area

You can read more about the expectations in the Ambassador Handbook.

If you think you’re up for the challenge, please complete the form and we’ll get back to you within two weeks.

Currently we only appoint one Country Ambassador per country to ensure focused representation – each country can have multiple regional ambassadors and university ambassadors.

If we receive multiple applications for the same country, we’ll evaluate the applications based on community engagement history, experience with Mautic and proposed ambassador activities.

Successful applicants will receive an official onboarding welcome email and onboarding instructions, and if you’re not successful we’ll give you detailed feedback as to why this is, and what you can do to increase your chances of being selected in the future.

The initial appointment for all Mautic Ambassadors is one year, with quarterly reviews and the opportunity to renew at the end of the term based on activity and achievement of goals.
